If you want to sell your Rolex in Manchester, send Ben Steele the model and a few photos and he'll give you a free estimate, usually within hours. You can then meet him by appointment at our head office in Ancoats or post the watch to us. Once you agree the price you're paid by Faster Payments, usually within minutes. A sale typically takes around two days from your first message, sometimes longer.
We only buy and never sell, so there's no shop to walk round. Ben deals with every Rolex himself, from first message to final offer.

Start the same way on either route: message Ben with the model, the reference number if you know it, and a few daylight photos. Show the dial straight on, the case back and clasp, the bracelet, and any box or papers. If you can't find the reference, the photos usually let him identify the watch. Ben replies with an estimate, and you don't have to go ahead.
Manchester is where Watch Boutique started, and Ancoats is still our head office, at Jactin House, 24 Hood Street, Ancoats, Manchester M4 6WX. Meetings are by appointment only, so contact Ben first and he'll arrange a time. He looks the watch over with you and you hear the final offer face to face.
If you'd rather not travel, or you live in Salford, Stockport, Trafford or further out, post the watch by Royal Mail Special Delivery and Ben deals with you by phone and message. Nothing is paid until you've agreed the final offer.
How we keep a sale safe covers each step in more detail. For selling any other watch in Manchester, see selling any watch in Manchester.
Before you accept any offer, put the same five questions to every buyer, whether that's a shop, a dealer, an auction house or a private buyer:
Nobody can promise the highest figure for a Rolex they haven't seen, so treat anyone who does with caution. Ask Ben for his estimate and compare it with any other you're given. We only buy, so we can't part-exchange a Rolex against another watch. Selling at auction or to a dealer compares the routes in full.
Rolex is what Manchester sellers bring us most. The models we see most are the Submariner, Datejust, Daytona, GMT-Master and Explorer. Ben buys every Rolex, in steel, gold or two-tone, with or without the box and papers. How a Rolex is valued is set out on our page on selling a Rolex in the UK, and which Rolex holds its value looks at what moves the market.
The best place is the one that gives you a clear offer, no surprise fees and a safe handover, and the five questions above show how to compare. Who pays most depends on the watch in front of them, so collect estimates and compare them like for like.
That depends on the reference, the metal, the condition, the papers and the current market, so the way to find out is a free estimate from Ben.
A 20-year-old Rolex dates from the early 2000s, and what counts is which reference it is, how it has been looked after and whether it has its papers. Send the reference and photos for an estimate. If you can't find the reference, our guide to finding your watch's reference and serial number shows where to look.
No. You send photos, Ben sends an estimate, and you agree a price. There's no listing to write and no strangers turning up.
It can. If the dial, bezel or bracelet isn't original, or the case has more wear than your photos showed, Ben tells you what has changed before you decide.
No. They help, and the papers should match the watch, but we buy Rolex with or without them. See our guide on selling without the box and papers.
Yes. We still make an offer, though condition affects it. Send photos and tell Ben what the watch is doing.
